Barbara Ann Cunningham

Barbara A. Cunningham was born October 1, 1952, in Martinez, CA to the late, Albert and Sam Ella Reed. Barbara, the baby of 4 siblings, Richard Reed and Dorothy A. Gray who precedes her in death, and Sonny Bryant.

Barbara married James Howard Cunningham on October 20, 1968, and started a beautiful family. Four (4) children were born to this union: Shalita (James) Tillman, Jeannae (Richard) Brooks, James A. Cunningham III who precedes her in death, and Albert (Renee) Cunningham. She worked for a brief period in the transportation industry before becoming a devoted, loving homemaker. This union resulted in a 58 -year relationship and 57-year marriage.

Loving grandchildren, Sheannae, Rosean, DeVon, Dejuan, Denyce, Paul, Albert, Nilajiah, and Joslin; Great grandchildren, DeShawn, Ahmiah, Dejuan Jr. (Little DJ), Kai, Noah, Aidan, Khylee, Kaleb, Kayla, Kairo, Karmilo, Ace, Amir, and Amauri.

Barbara became a sister, Breast Cancer Warrior who beat Triple Negative Breast Cancer during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Barbara positively touched the lives of everyone she encountered.

Barbara can be remembered as a beautiful butterfly ever so dainty floating through the air putting a smile on faces of those who laid eyes on her. She will forever be missed but never forgotten.

A visitation will be held at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, California, 92404, on January 29, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same location on January 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Following the funeral service, a repass will be held in Hinze Hall at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on January 30, 2026.
