It has taken a week for me to be able to write anything.....Uncle Jim you will be missed and your tribute yesterday was lovely. The - (dash ) between your birth and your passing was a remarkable time. We were honored to have loved and gotten to know you. The Marines did you proud yesterday too with their 21 gun salute and the soldier's salutes to you. We love you and have loved getting to know Linda and Nelson and your friends. They are wonderful and as you already know, Nelson is a crack up. He said yesterday that he now understands why you loved us too and can now fully understand some of your stories about us. There is an emptiness but we are relieved by the fact that you are not suffering any longer. Be easy Uncle, we know you are watching from above.....

Sadly,I had only recently renewed my friendship with "The Ritz". Jim and I were having a daily correspondence,and I was again enjoying his sense of humor and level headed analysis of the worlds events. Jim and I were team mates and frat brothers and close friends for most of our childhood and teens. We shared many great memories. My deepest sympathy to Pam, Linda and step-mother Eleanor. We have lost a very good man. Rest in Peace Jim.

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our Brother, James D. Reese. We wish for him everlasting life and well-deserved peace as a member of the Chapter Eternal of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. 

On behalf of the Eta Chapter, I offer both sympathy and condolences to the Reese Family, and express the fervent hope of all our alumni that your thoughts will soon turn towards memories of happier times.

Friends since the 5th grade.  Team mates in HS and college lacrosse.  Fraternity brothers in HS and college.  Room mates in college.  Reunited after 40 years sharing the same interest in sports, politics, and history.  My condolences to Pam and to sister Linda.  A very tragic loss.
