Peter Rudy Manos

Peter R. Manos passed away 16 November 2021 from a severe stroke. Peter was born in San Diego on 1 May 1928. He was an independent brother who at age 93 lived alone and drove his three year old car until the day of his illness.

Peter graduated from Lemon Grove Grammar school in 1943, Grossmont Union High School in 1947, San Diego State University in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business when President John F. Kennedy gave the Commencement speech.

Peter worked at Convair and retired from Solar Turbines as Material Control Coordinator in 1983. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War as an Ammunition Truck Driver. He also helped his Father, Tony Manos, in the family's orange grove until 1954 when it was subdivided into lots.

Peter was a land developer in Bonita and Jamul . Beloved son and brother to Yvonne Marie Vettese and brother-in-law to Anthony Dominick Vettese. He is very much missed.

A graveside service for Peter will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr, san diego, CA 92122.
