Bao is survived by his wife, Nguyen Thi Luan; his daughter Hoang Bao Tran "Sherilyn" (Le Anh); his daughter Hoang Bao Trinh (Nguyen An); his daughter Hoang Bao Chieu (Nhin Steven); and his son Hoang Thien Phuong; his grandson Le Edbert, his grandson Nguyen Khoi "Kenny", his grandson Nguyen Khang "Kasey", his granddaughter Nhin Brittney and his grandson Nhin Brandon.
A visitation for Bao was held Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Lima Family Erickson Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, CA 95125. Rosary prayers were occurring Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, CA 95125. A funeral mass was held Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5284 Monterey Street, San Jose, CA 95111. A witness cremation will occur Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125.
