

Anna Laura Hartsock, age 76, of Sandy Springs, Georgia entered Heaven on Sunday, April 30, 2017. She was born in Hayesville, NC and was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Luther (Mae) Swanson. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mr. Garold “Jerry” Emil Hartsock; daughters Karen Colvin-Nance (Jim), Christa Hartsock Davis (Matt), Michelle Hodgin and Lisa Callaway (Gus), and beloved son Kurt E. Hartsock; grandchildren Clark Colvin, Matthew, Champ and Brooke Davis, Laura and Sarah Hodgin, Mayson (Erin) Callaway and Chrissy Callaway. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, niece and 3 nephews. Anna devoted her life to loving and caring for her family and took pride in keeping an immaculate home. She enjoyed a life full of international travel with Jerry and particularly enjoyed channeling her inner cowgirl in Wyoming, both on horse and snowmobile. She loved to garden and spent many years preparing delicious meals for her family from the fruit and vegetables she harvested. She will be missed on Friday nights as her tradition with Jerry for 40 years was dining at their favorite Mexican restaurant. She was one of a kind. She asked so little and gave so much. The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, May 4th, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5th, 2017 at 10:30 am at North Springs United Methodist Church, 7770 Roswell Rd., Atlanta, GA 30350. There will be a reception at the church following the service. A committal service will take place on Monday, May 8th, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the GA National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, GA 30114.
