.Annette “Ann” Marie Smith, born July 4, 1951, died tragically in a car accident in Sandy Springs on August 13, 2016. An Atlanta native, she was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Smith, and brother, Wyche. Ann was a graduate of North Springs High School and Georgia State University. She is survived by her brother Thomas M. Smith III (Cynthia), and their sons Tommy and Andrew; and Matthew and Daniel Smith, the sons of her late brother Wyche. Ann spent her career in retail and was a long-time employee of Belk’s at Phipps Plaza. She enjoyed a quiet life and was loved by family and friends. . Ann will be greatly missed. The family is planning an informal gathering in remembrance of her life on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. NE. Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
