Barbara Taylor Hughes

Barbara was born in El Dorado, AK and lived in the Atlanta area most of her life.

She and her husband, Les, raised their family in the North Atlanta area now known as

Brookhaven.

Barbara was a long-time member of the Atlanta Athletic Club, enjoying the Women’s Golf Association as well as getting together with friends to play bridge.

However, the most important part of Barbara’s life was her family. Whatever her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren were involved in, Barbara was right there cheering them on.

She is survived by her three children, William T. Hughes of Pasadena, CA, Robert T. Hughes (Mary) of Atlanta, GA, and Linda H. Broyles (Al) of Johns Creek, GA, as well as nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Belle and Joe Taylor, and her husband, Lester H. Hughes, Jr.

A private family service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Arlington Memorial Park.
