B. Michael “Mike” Schlenke has returned to his Creator, after a 7 year battle with pulmonary fibrosis. His life was one well lived; blessed, fruitful and passionate. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Catherine and Clement, 2 sisters, Alice and Marie, and an infant son, Bernard Michael. He leaves behind, his devoted wife of 58 years, 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Survivors also include: a brother, a sister, 3 sisters-in-law and spouses, and a myriad of nieces and nephews. Mike will also be missed by innumerable friends, made throughout his lifetime. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday May 10, 2017 @ 11AM at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Sandy Springs. Visitation: Tuesday, May 9, 6-8PM @ H. M. Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd. Sandy Springs, 30328. Burial on Thursday, 12 noon, at Georgia National Cemetery.
