Bernice Perkins Jackson, of Atlanta, GA, passed away August 19, 2010 at the age of 90. She was born January 8, 1920 in Birmingham, AL to Olney and Myrtle Turner Perkins. Bernice is survived by her loving husband, Ray Jackson, Jr.; nephew, Kleob Bruce Lucas, Jr.(Linda); great niece, Julia Lucas; great nephew, Adam Lucas (Wendy); cousins, Amanda Holland ,Geneva Wade, Beverly Jackson Taylor (Tom), Greg Jackson(Shelia) and Audrey Jackson. She was active in her community and enjoyed activities with her garden club. Bernice was a frequent volunteer at her church, helping wherever she was needed. She was a beloved wife and a treasured aunt. Her life was full of the love of giving of herself to family and friends and will always be missed as she goes to blessed rest with her Lord. Funeral services will be August 22, 2010 at 2:00PM with visitation from 1:00-2:00PM at Rideout’s-Elmwood Chapel, Birmingham, AL.
