

Carol Jean Baudino Battles died on August 28, 2015 in Fort Myers, Florida. Carol was born on September 18, 1945 to Joseph and Rose Baudino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Taylor University in Upland, IN, where she met her husband of 48 years, Timothy Joel Battles. They were married on August 12, 1967 and Carol worked as a school teacher in Lake Forest Illinois until she gave birth to their first child. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her husband, her three children and her 8 grandchildren. Her passion in life was helping others and leading people to Christ. She traveled all over the world teaching the gospel on her numerous mission trips to China, Hong Kong, Kenya, Botswana, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Thailand. She also enjoyed vacationing with her family and grandchildren, having recently been with all of them in Gulf Shores, AL earlier last month. Carol set a strong legacy of faith for her family and for everyone whose life she touched. She is a member of both Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia and McGregor Baptist in Ft Myers, FL. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Joel Battles of Ft Myers, FL, her father, Joseph Baudino age 95, Marshfield, Wisconsin, her sister, Kathleen Baudino Holbrook of Marshfield, Wisconsin, her children Justin Battles, his wife Magdalena and their children Brielle, Alexander and Charles of Southlake, Texas, Kelley Battles, his wife Amber and their children Hayden and Chandler of Southlake, Texas, Michelle Battles Webb, her husband Therian, and their children Miles and Stone of Atlanta, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rose Baudino and grandson Barron Battles. The wake visitation for Carol will be held on Friday, September 4th from 5-8pm at Sandy Springs Chapel 136 Mount Vernon Highway, NE Sandy Spring 30328. The Memorial Service and Celebration of Carol's Life will be held on Saturday, September 5 at 11:00am at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA. A lunch reception will follow the services.
