Cynthia Kyle LaBan of Marietta, GA was a native of Birmingham, AL. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Lee R. LaBan and son Ryan James LaBan of Marietta, GA.
Cynthia is also survived by her brother Garland Vick of Leeds, AL, sister Betty Hampton (Paul) of Columbus, GA, sister Amy Bearden (David) of West Blocton, AL, and brother Jason Vick (Peggy) of Woodstock, AL as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins across the Southeast. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. & Mrs. James Monroe Vick.
Cynthia was a 1978 graduate of West Blocton High School in West Blocton, AL and a 1982 graduate of Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS. She was a proud member of MUW's Lancer Social Club and Jester Honorary Social Club. The latter of which she was a #4.
After graduating from MUW, Cynthia spent a couple of years in retail management in Birmingham and lived with her beloved Aunt Virginia and Uncle Jack Gray. She moved to Atlanta, GA after accepting a new job. She met her future husband, Lee, while working in the same store. After her years in retail, Cynthia had a long career as an administrative professional in the staffing industry, concluding with Staffmark.
She and Lee were married on July 19, 1986 in Dunwoody, GA. After starting their life together in Sandy Springs, GA, they later moved to Woodstock, GA. For the past 30 years, they have resided in Marietta, GA.
In 1996, they welcomed the birth of their only child, Ryan James LaBan. For the next 24 years their life revolved around their love of Ryan and each other.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. A Public Graveside Service will take place on Saturday November 7, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Highway, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
