Loving father & husband, Donald B. Leslie, retired Colonel in the United States Army, died peacefully at the age of 82 surrounded by family on Monday, October 1st, 2018 in Marietta, Georgia after an extended illness. Col Leslie was born and raised in Butte, Montana before moving to Salt Lake City, Utah in high school. A collegiate swimmer as an undergraduate at the University of Utah, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Northwestern University Dental School and graduate studies through Georgetown University to finish his Prosthodontics Residency. Col Leslie proudly served a distinguished 30 year military career attending the United States Army Command and General Staff College and becoming a recognized expert in facial reconstruction through his work during and after the Vietnam War. Upon his retirement from the US Army, he taught as a Professor at the Emory University Dental School before going into private practice. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances; sons, Robert, David and Brian; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister Kathryn Leslie Miller of Salt Lake City and sister-in-law Ann Leslie of Knoxville.
