

Frances Perkins, 96, died in her home on November 17. Frances was born in Dunwoody, but lived her adult life as a resident of Marietta. She was a longtime member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church. Frances and her husband owned and ran Chas. H Perkins General Store in Marietta until 1971 when they retired. She is known for her southern cooking, always present smile and loving personality. She was loved by all who knew her.
Frances is survived by 2 daughters, Kathy and Rodney Metzer, Sr., of Bluffton, SC, and Linda Perkins of Acworth, 1 grandson, Rod and Morgan Metzer, Jr. of Woodstock, and 2 great grandchildren, Mason and Amelia Metzer of Woodstock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H Perkins, parents Frank and Georgia Eidson, sisters Leila and George Pilgram, and Thelma and Howard Wilson, grandson Kevin C Metzer and great grandson Kevin W Metzer.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 11a.m. until 1 p.m. ,with the funeral immediately following at 1 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 Interment will be at Chattahoochee Baptist Church.
