Born on March 22, 1947 in Illinois, Grace lived a life marked by enduring strength and boundless adventures.
A proud graduate of Northwestern University, Grace dedicated her professional life to fostering a love of reading in countless students as a children’s school librarian. Yet her vibrant spirit was never confined to the quiet aisles of a library. An avid traveler, she embraced the opportunity to explore the world, creating cherished memories with loved ones across continents. Her adventurous spirit was matched by her love of sport and the outdoors. A decorated rower, she found joy and tranquility on the water, while also excelling in sailing, tennis, skiing, and ice skating. Grace approached every endeavor with enthusiasm, determination, and skill. Her vibrant spirit, love of adventure, and appreciation for life's experiences inspired all who knew her and will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
Grace was preceded in death by her beloved son, Richard. She is survived by her son, Leo and her two cherished grandchildren, who brought her great joy and pride.
