He graduated from North Fulton High School, and attended Georgia Tech, and was a big Georgia Tech fan.
He served his country honorably from 1947 to 1952 in the Air Force, having his enlistment extended a year at the start of the Korean War, serving at the time as an air traffic controller in Tokyo. Mr. Clayton owned a number of businesses during his career, most recently DeKalb Concrete Products.
He came to the Lord late in life, receiving his salvation by Grace through his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife of over sixty-three years, Helen Clayton, a son, Jim, a daughter, Tracie, four grandchildren, and his son’s in-laws, all of whom he loved dearly.
