James E. Routh, Jr., passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Mr. Routh was born in 1918 in New Orleans, LA, to the late Dr. James E. Routh and Florence Fischer Routh. After moving to Atlanta he studied art at Oglethorpe University and then went on to study at the Art League, NYC. Mr. Routh traveled and produced paintings and lithographic prints in the South in 1941 under Julius Roswendwald Fellowship. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1942 – 1945 and fought on Omaha Beach in WW2. Mr. Routh retired from Burke Dowling Adams/BBDO Advertising Agency. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean Rooney Routh. He is survived by his son, Edward H. Routh of Atlanta.
