James grew up in Brooklyn, New York, he was raised in Wood Haven, and hung out at Whitings Square. He went to Saint Thomas Apostle grammar school and Saint Agnes high school in Rockville center and he graduated Franklin K. Lane. James was married to the love of his life, Judy Smith for fifty-seven years. They had love that many admired. They are true soulmates. James was the ultimate family man. He lived for his children, Deana, Laura (Brad), and his five grandchildren, Dylan, Danny, Brooklyn, Peyton, and Hudsyn. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. Our family is completely heartbroken and this is a tremendous loss. We know that he is with god and we will all be together again in heaven, James is survived by his loving wife, two daughters, son and law, and five grandchildren.
