She attended Magnolia High School before studying and qualifying as a Registered Nurse at Baylor University.
Janas was an avid Bridge player and was so proud when she achieved her Life Master designation. She traveled with her friends throughout the Southeast to participate in Bridge tournaments to earn these points. Additionally, she was a world traveler who once spent over 90 days on a Container Ship traveling around the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, her sisters Margret and Mary, her brother Jim, and her grandson, Kurt. She is survived by her children, Carl (Susie), Carla (Andy) and Jana (Todd); 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many cherished nephews and nieces.
