Jean was born on April 5, 1930 in Hartford, Connecticut, and grew up in the Morningside neighborhood of Atlanta. She was a graduate of Washington Seminary (Westminster Schools) and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.
She was a model and an aspiring professional opera singer, with a beautiful soprano voice, performing at many venues as a young woman. In 1950, she married Lyman Edgar Morris, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage until his passing in 1987. Together they built a loving home grounded in faith, music, and devotion to family.
Jean was a longtime member of Mount Paran Church of God in Buckhead, where she participated actively in Bible study and sang joyfully in the church choir. She was known for her beautiful singing voice, deep faith, and generous spirit. She will be remembered for the grace and elegance with which she lived her life.
She is survived by her children, Margaret Wozniak (Mitchell), of Cave Creek, AZ, Karen Brock of Woodstock, GA, Scott Morris (Lisa) of Ringgold, GA and Robert Morris of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Matthew Wozniak (Jessica), Brian Wozniak (Cheri), Joanna Hanrahan (Sean), Julie Henderson (Craig), Jessica Salyers (Jonah), James Brock (Carlie), Emily Meneghini (Josiah), Amy Wiersema (Noah) and Anderson Morris (Maggie) and fifteen great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Sandy Springs Chapel from 10:00a.m. – 12:00p.m. with a funeral service at noon, followed by a private family burial.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests making contributions to either the American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
