

She was born April 20, 1921 in Fulton County Georgia to the late William Luther Sr. and Lillian Peacock Smith.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Sam Fowler and Charles Leslie, Brothers William Luther Jr. and Frances Andrew Smith, Sister Polly S. Stallings, Niece Glenda Smith.
Jeanette was a long time member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church and an active volunteer of Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club for more than 40 years. An officer for many years with the Alpha Alpha Chapter - Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, she also sang for many years with the Atlanta Chapter of Sweet Adelines.
Jeanette and husband Sam owned and operated Fowler Jewelers in Sandy Springs for more than 45 years.
Jeanette was loved by all that knew her and because of her zest for family, friends and life in general.
Jeanette is survived by sons and his companion Robert (Bob) Fowler and Sondra Bourbon of Alpharetta, GA and Frank Fowler of Alpharetta, GA. Grandson Josh Fowler of Alpharetta, GA, Sister Avon S. Wright of Monroe, GA. 6 nieces and 3 nephews. Many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. Rev Thomas Martin will officiate. Entombment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
