My husband and I are keeping his wife, Joyce, Gene, Jennifer, and family in our prayers. Jeff's passing is devastating for the family, friends, and "Old Marietta" folks. I have fond memories of a shared youth in Junior High School and High School. Jeff was an extremely talented guy who was smart, funny, and good looking. All of his parents' neighbors, including myself, have been very impressed with Jeff as a caregiver of Joyce and Gene. Last week Jeff drove past me after visiting his parents while I was taking a walk with my puppy in his parents' neighborhood. I regret not stopping to talk to him. Pat Floyd Axsen

Gene, Joyce and Jennifer, I cannot imagine the pain you're going through. This has been such a shock to the Marietta community. It was so great seeing you today and my prayers will be with each of you...Jeff and I had some great times in High school together but the ones I cherish the most were at Par 56...good memories. God Bless your family....

Nikita:
My heart was broken for you and all your family when I heard your wonderful husband passed away. Although I did not know him, I always felt his kind presence when you spoke of him when we had to meet to discuss the unfortunate details of my husbands recent passing at your work place. In my days of grief, your compassionate and caring heart have been so wonderful. Now I hope that I can give just some of that back in your unexpected hours of need. I am sending you Grace, Strength and Peace during this most difficult time. God Bless you.

We were heartbroken when we heard the news. Jeff was a wonderful person and a good friend of ours. We have known him for over 10 years and learned a lot from him. He always got our back. He will be missed sincerely.

I was heartbroken when I heard the news. Jeff was a wonderful friend and golf teacher. I met him in 1986 for my first ever golf lesson; he came highly recommended by Strib Stribling. I played my first game of golf that same year, while taking lessons with Jeff. We hit it off immediately and he took me under his wing. I started with a 36 handicap and in less than three years, he had me down to a 4 . In my third year, with his help, I missed qualifying for the Georgia Amateur by 2 shots. He was always encouraging and never gave up on me. I said many times over the years, if I had a dollar every time I called him at the turn, I would be rich. There is not enough room to tell all the stories and memories we made together. I would always pick at him because of the way he dressed, like he just stepped out of a magazine. You will be missed my friend, you definitely made an impact on my life. Jeff would always say “Inside every 240-yard drive, there’s a 40-yard pitch shot.
