Jerry O’Neil Smith, an Atlanta native was born October 8, 1940, the son of Robert F. and Mary Cochran Smith. He attended North Fulton High School and was a graduate of Georgia State University. Before his retirement, Mr. Smith’s latest employer was Muntzing-Sattele Company. He is survived by his brothers, Robert Eugene (Gene) Smith of Atlanta and J. Carlton Smith and his wife Pat of Marietta; nephew, J. Carlton Smith, Jr. and niece Sharon Hosea and her husband Will and grandnephews Brooks and Bryson Hosea. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Smith Cemetery, Orange United Methodist Church, Canton, GA. Dr. Kenneth Link will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 72 Edgewood Ave., Atlanta, GA 30303 The family will receive friends Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel Funeral Directors, 136 Mt.
