Joette V. Tolar, 82, of Sandy Springs, GA, died Saturday, May 10, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Burrl H. Tolar; daughter and son-in-law, William and Cynthia Cheek; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sandy Tolar; and grandchildren Steven Cheek, Catherine Tolar, Clay Tolar, and Alan Tolar. Mrs. Tolar worked for 35 years as Secretary and Treasurer with Tolar Construction. She was devoted to her family and found occasion to celebrate with family often. She enjoyed trips to the beach and travel with family. As a generous benefactor to so many, she was always there to provide a helping hand. She will be dearly missed. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Sandy Springs Chapel 136 Mt Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Jack Hudson will officiate. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph House of Hope through Dunwoody Baptist Church.
