Margaret W. Bass

Margaret was a long-time member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. She was active in Sunday School, Women's Circle, and Bible Study. She volunteered for many years in the church office answering the phone and writing memorials. She loved her church and the friends she had there. She was affectionately known as "Dots", first by her grandchildren and then later by others closest to her. "Dots" loved getting to know people and spending time with her family and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband William (Jack) Bass. She is survived by her sons, William Michael Bass of Sandy Springs and Edward Craig Bass and his wife Lisa of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Meredith Watkins (James) and Matthew Bass (Keeley); great-grandson Jackson Watkins; brother Myron (Sonny) Wilson (Druscilla); dearly loved nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. A reception in the Fellowship Hall will follow the service. The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Manor Lake Assisted Living for their love and care of our "Dots".

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Sandy Springs United Methodist Church, 86 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
