A devoted wife, beloved mother, and cherished grandmother, Margaret's life was a testament to grace, kindness, and unwavering faith. She touched the hearts of many with her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
Margaret was born and raised in Atlanta and was a lifelong member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church where she married her husband Scott Carriere, on September 25, 1971. Margaret and Scott raised their daughters Laura, Rachel, and Margaret (Meg) in Sandy Springs which was the launching pad for many family adventures and trips at home and abroad. Margaret had a love for cruises, classical music and art. Her passion for art led her to teach the subject in the Cobb County School district numerous years before she retired to spend more time with her growing gang of grandchildren- Emma, Mary, Margaret, Rachel, Nathan, Molly, Elizabeth, and Catherine.
Ever an optimist, as her health declined Margaret looked forward to reunification with her mother, father, and precious sister in Glory.
Though she has departed from this world, her legacy of love and devotion lives on in the lives of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peachtree Presbyterian Church, where Margaret was raised and married, formed many deep and lasting friendships, and where she had the joy of watching her children and grandchildren grow in faith. https://my.peachtreechurch.com/Give/memorial-fund
