Mary Nell Cleveland

Mary Nell Cleveland, 93, died on May 8, 2018, after a series of heart attacks. She was born on August 28, 1924, in Madison, Georgia, the daughter of Walter and Alice Mitchem,
She was the youngest member of a family of eight. Her remarkable life spanned the Great Depression, World War 2, the Cold War, the U.S. placement of a man on the moon, and the fall of the Berlin Wall and more.
She wed Cromwell Cleveland of Selma, Alabama in 1946 and their sixty- two year marriage extended until his death in 2008. During that time, she and her husband traveled extensively in Europe as well as the United States.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Harris, of Collierville, Tennessee and her son Willis Walter Cleveland of Sandy Springs, Georgia.
A 2 pm memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2018 at the Sunrise Chapel at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
