Milton Evans Hibbard

A service for Milton Hibbard, of Dunwoody will be held Saturday, September 27, at 11:30, at the Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. Joe B. Martin IV will officiate Mr. Hibbard, 81, died Monday September 22, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born the only child to Lavona and Eldon Hibbard of Oregon, Missouri in 1933. He received a BA from Park College, Parkville, Missouri. He had a distinguished career with the A. C. Nielsen Company and helped open Nielsen’s Atlanta office in 1971. Following retirement, he became the administrator of Mount Vernon Village Retirement Community, where he served for 25 years until his retirement in 2013. He was a Presbyterian and an elder at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church. He loved his church and his family. He was predeceased by his wife Dana Clement Hibbard. Surviving are his two children, John Len Hibbard (Patricia) of Dunwoody and Dana Beth Hibbard of Chattanooga, Tennessee, four grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth Hibbard, Katherine Lucile Hibbard, Erin Evans Meulenberg and Alexander Andrew Meulenberg; cousins Martha Lou Lawson and Marilyn Crane of Lawton, OK. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 471 Mount Vernon Highway NE, Sandy Springs GA 30328.
