“Chachi”, as she is affectionately remembered, moved to the United States at the age of 13 to pursue her education. She went on to work as a Color Coordinator for a nationally known carpet manufacturer for many years. In 1996 she met her future husband during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. In 2002 she married Steven Hightower, Sr.; the two remained married until her passing.
Chachi had a natural way with people and was the life of every party. She loved to dance and was beautiful inside and out. She joyfully entertained friends and family alike. She loved flowers and being near the ocean whether on a beach or one of many cruises. She traveled often, was an A-Level tennis player for Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) and the United States Tennis Association (USTA). She was also a competitive snow skier, a certified scuba diver and will be remembered by family and friends of over 40 years for her for her devotion, laughter, sense of humor and warm nature.
Along with her parents, Chachi was preceded in death by her son, Frank Bullock. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Steven Hightower, Sr.; daughter, Vicky Kennedy; son, David Bullock; step-son, Steven Hightower, Jr.; brother, Emilio Lebolo, Jr.; sister-in-law, Cherry Lebolo; grandchildren, Kyle Kennedy, Libbie Brandenburg and Madison David Bullock; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Brandenburg, Charles Brandenburg and Elliot Brandenburg; nephews, Emilio Lebolo, III, Randy Lebolo and Dino Lebolo and her tennis family and friends.
A visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a light reception at 1:00pm at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Following the reception, a graveside service and interment will take place at 2:00pm at Arlington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Chachi’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
