Patricia “Pilar” Tennille was born in England to a military family. She survived World War II with her father, mother, and beloved sister and brothers. Patricia later joined the British Army as a switchboard operator before moving to the United States, where she married Adrian Tennille.
After marriage, Patricia settled in Sandy Springs, GA. Her creative talent in decorating homes at Christmas and during the holidays, and in making beautiful wreaths, touched many families’ dwellings throughout the years. Her love of gardening and sewing were her true passions.
Patricia had many exciting occupations throughout the years — nanny, personal assistant, and manager of the pro shop at the Atlanta Cherokee Golf and Country Club, from where she retired.
Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her family in England and her friends for her kind and loving heart, her adventurous spirit, her great sense of humor, and her acceptance of all people — she never met a stranger. Most of all, Patricia’s love for her family in England and her U.S. friends was dear to her throughout her life.
Those wishing to send flowers in remembrance of Ms. Patricia Tennille may have them delivered to Sandy Springs Chapel.
