

Richard Dennis Gash, 64, of Sandy Springs passed away at his home on Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was born in Asheville, NC on March 30, 1952 to parents Alfred and Marjorie (Graham) Gash, and grew up in Raleigh, NC, where he attended North Carolina State University. Richard moved to Georgia to work for BellSouth as an engineer and later for EDS as a computer engineer. After retiring he started his own company, Bee Tree Tech, providing computer support to many individuals and businesses in the area. Richard volunteered for many years with the Boy Scouts of America serving as Senior Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 266 for over 10 years . He was a recipient of Wood Badge which is the highest level of adult Scout leader training. He also served as the first District Webmaster for the Hightower Trail District and webmaster for the Atlanta Area Council, as well as serving for many years on the District Eagle Board of Review.
He is survived by his wife Diana N Gash, son Michael Anthony (Tony) Gash, brother Alfred Graham Gash, sister Brenda Gash Jefferies, a niece and two nephews.
A memorial for Richard will be held at Chattahoochee Nature Center at 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 2.
