

Stacy Jean Loftin passed away Friday morning, September 2nd at Emory Healthcare - St. Joseph Hospital after a brief battle with a particularly aggressive form of brain cancer. She was 53 and a resident of Sandy Springs, Georgia. Stacy was born in Monterey, California but grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she met her future husband, Kevin Baesler. Following her marriage she relocated to the Atlanta area where she became a software implementation consultant by Navex Global in Norcross, Georgia. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Baesler of Sandy Springs, daughter Rachel Baesler of Seattle, WA, son Lucas Baesler of Tacoma, WA, mother, Myrna Meyer of Monterey, CA, brother Jeff Loftin of Bluff City, TN, and sister Dori Lingenfelter of Marina, CA. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, and very active in her children's scholastic and extracurricular pursuits. She was a long time member of Roswell United Methodist Church, where she was a youth group leader and a facilitator for Disciple bible study classes. As a Roswell resident of some 20 years, she was an effective community leader with a particular interest in zoning and community redevelopment. Stacy enjoyed politics, cooking, international travel and all things pertaining to her family. Her memorial service will be Thursday afternoon, September 8th at 1:00pm at Roswell United Methodist Church. The family will begin receiving guests at 12:00pm; there will be short reception following the service in the parlor.
