March 26, 1941October 21, 2018

Sadly, Susan Marie Fechtel Pittman passed away Sunday October 21, 2018.

She was born March 26, 1941 in Atlanta Georgia to the parents of Edward and Kathryn Fechtel. She is survived by her two siblings, her brother Edward Fechtel Jr. (Hester) and her twin sister Diane Deriso, her children, Shawn Pittman (Adrianne), Keith Pittman (Heather), Terri Lynn Pittman (Tim) and her grandson Terry Daniel Pittman. Susan, a life long Atlantan went to Sacred Heart Elementary, Christ the King School, St. Pius X Catholic High School, with the distinction of being in the first ever graduating class, and Loretta Heights College in Denver Colorado. She was a devoted loving mother, who took great joy in taking care of her children. If you needed to find her, just go to any St. Pius X football or basketball game and she would be there. She never missed a Georgia Tech or Falcons football game. And she loved her animals, Zeus and Beans.

Sorry, just learned of Susan's passing.

I have fond memories of John Carroll and I double-dating with Diane and Susan Fechtel way back when we were all in high-school and time spent at their house on Coronado. Good times. The twins' best friend, Mary Ann (Fordy) Ford actually married John's Air Force Academy roommate, Stan Patrie.

Over the years, distance affected the time together, But the friendship remained intact. My prayers and thoughts are with her two sons and her daughter, as well as her twin, Diane, and her brother, Eddy. May she rest in peace.

Stan & I are so very sorry not to be with you at this time. Susan & Diane were such a large part of my life growing up. So many weekends shared most especially the white Chevy Imapla convertible! What a thrill and what fun times, best was driving on the beach in Jacksonville with the top down! Memories revived over the years when we were able to spend time together.
God Bless Susan and may she rest in peace and joy now.
