She was born to Maurice Tillery and Virginia (Way) Harris on June 30, 1951. A lifelong resident of Atlanta, she graduated from North Springs High School and attended the University of West Georgia. She was a V.P. with Forsch Corporation for over 20 years. She was also a loving and dedicated caregiver to her mother who suffered with Parkinson’s Disease for many years before passing in 2007. Ginger loved to cook and entertain, decorate her lovely home, spend time with family and happy hours with her friends. She had a knack for seeing beauty in the simple things and was fiercely loyal to her friends and family. As her close friend stated “she was high maintenance and opinionated, but in all the good ways. Ginger's high standards were exemplified in her commitment to those she loved by the thoughtful, personal care and support she provided during times of hardship, joy and life's in-betweens." Ginger is survived by her brother Reese Tillery Harris (Julie) of Ellijay, Georgia, sister Nancy Connolly Harris of Petaluma, CA, nieces Lauren Sholder (David) of Kennesaw, Georgia, Courtney Harryman (Bradley) of Groesbeck, Texas and nephew Ryan Harris (Chelsea) of Dahlonega, Georgia. Ginger will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs, following a graveside service of family and close friends. Following the gathering, they will join together to share fond memories, laugh and celebrate Ginger’s life, just as she would want us to do. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
