
Wilma Tucker Webb, of Roswell, died June 3, 2011. Mrs. Webb was born on February 21, 1925 in Landrum, SC. She completed nursing training at Spartanburg General Hospital and practiced as a surgical nurse. Mrs. Webb was extremely active in the life of St. John United Methodist Church. She served on the church’s board and was President of St. John United Methodist Women. She was twice President of the church’s Bible Fellowship Class, was head of the outreach committee and taught first grade Sunday School. As her son Kyle became involved in youth spots, Mrs. Webb served in leadership roles with the Northside Youth Organization and with Buckhead Baseball. She particularly enjoyed her role as team mother of the Buckhead Red Devils. Mrs. Webb was an avid birdwatcher. Her loving husband of 58 years, Kyle Davis Webb, died in 2008. She is survived by her brothers, Jack Tucker and Tandy Tucker, Jr. and sisters, Olga Larson, Ruby Griffin and Dot Brown. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. at St. John United Methodist Church. Dr Gil Watson will officiate. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park.
