

A daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Yvonne “Bonnie” Sanders departed this life on January 24, 2013. She was the second child born to Walter and Laura McEady on February 19, 1952 in Akron, OH. She attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from South High School in 1970. She was also a graduate of Hammel Business School in 1973.
Bonnie was an avid traveler and loved nothing more than sunshine and a beautiful beach. After leaving Ohio, she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida for several years before finally settling in Atlanta, Georgia. She made friends everywhere she went and was known by all as someone you could count on to make you laugh or offer words of encouragement.
Bonnie was employed by Peachtree Psychiatric Professionals. She was the matriarch of the front office for over 15 years, offering support and encouragement to patients as well as doctors, therapists and co-workers.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father Walter McEady. She is survived by her beloved mother Laura McEady, sisters Linda, Wanda, Marilyn, Carilyn, (Gene), and Valery, special friend Arthur, nephews Tyrone and Dierre, nieces Vendetta, Lebra, and Danielle, and her beloved dogs Bubba and Mila, birds Sebastian and Jujube, cats Snowy and Spooky, and a host of turtles.
Bonnie was a bright light in a dark world and will be remembered for the smiles she brought to people’s faces. She was known for her unique sense of humor, youthful spirit, and generosity. She was always an encourager, a giver, and a lover of people. Bonnie will be dearly missed by all those she touched with the love she had for others.
An avid animal lover, Bonnie owned and cared for many pets throughout her lifetime. For those who wish, contributions may be made in her memory to the animal shelter Snap-2-IT.
