Reverend Joseph E. Falkner

Dad was born and raised in Orlando Florida with 4 brothers and one sister, he joined the Navy, and was stationed in San Diego where he met Myrtle Taylor. They fell in love and were married for almost 65 years. They moved back to Florida where he worked for Falkner roofing and Heating, and had two children Diane and Joe Jr. After his call from God to go into ministry he attended Simpson Bible college in San Francisco. Then ended up back in San Diego where he pastored Pacific Beach Bible church on Gresham and Reed Street for over 20 years. After retiring in 1994 he served in the Senior ministry Balboa Alliance Church for 20 years and volunteered as a Chaplain at Sharp Memorial Hospital. His life was spent tirelessly in service to God and others and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his brother Dave, his son Joe Jr. Grandkids, Lissette Ryan, Melanie Potter, Jonathan Goetz, and Mary Falkner. Great Grandkids, Thomas, Jack, Rosie, and Lilly.
