He was born May 16, 1928, in Rancho de Los Arados, Municipio García de la Cadena, Zacatecas, Mexico. He lost both his parents at a young age, growing up was not easy and had many struggles, but it allowed him to appreciate the little things in life. As a young man, he briefly contemplated becoming a priest, but his mischievous ways led him down a different path in life. Adauto proudly served in the Ejercito Mexicano (Mexican Army) and eventually made his journey to the United States in 1950.
He was a resident of Ventura County for over 50 years, from Fillmore and Santa Paula, and worked for many years as a construction laborer. He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed watching boxing, drinking his “traguito” tequila and 7-Up in the afternoons and going out to breakfast. He was an exceptional gardener, growing vegetables, roses and was very proud of his beautiful ivy geraniums in the front yard of his home in Santa Paula. Adauto was a charismatic, hard working, proud, sometimes stubborn man, but always loved and provided for his family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Josephine Velasquez Flores, his parents, Rojelo Flores and Andrea Llamas Jauriqui; brothers and sisters; Natividad Flores Llamas, Francisco Flores Llamas, Esperanza Flores Llamas, Eusebia Flores Llamas, Fernando Flores Llamas, Jesus Flores Llamas, Longino Flores Llamas and Maria Flores Llamas.
He is survived by his daughter, Tereza Arellano and Montie Arellano; grandchildren, Jenna Arellano and Jason Arellano of Crescent City, CA; niece, Estela Salazar and Arturo Salazar of Riverside; great-niece, Aida Lupian and Joel Lupian of Riverside, and many generations of nieces, nephews and cousins. Stepsons Richard Macias of Santa Paula and Robert Macias of Santa Maria, 4 step- grandchildren and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Santa Paula Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Arlington of Riverside Senior Community for the wonderful care they provided for Aduato. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
