Adolfo Marquez Vega Sr.

Adolfo Marquez Vega Sr. passed away Monday, September 8, 2014, at home surrounded by family. He was 91. He was an Army Private First Class, serving the 1st infantry division during WWII. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, vacationing in Yosemite, family gatherings and especially playing the lottery. He was preceded in death by his Wife of 61 years Catalina Vega, and son James Michael Vega. He is survived by daughter Barbara (Leonard) Ayala, daughter, Helen Amaro, daughter Elizabeth (Ismael) Aguilar Jr., son Adolfo (Kerry) Vega Jr., 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter, brother Raymond Vega, Brother Carlos Vega and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4pm - 8pm Monday, September 15, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Stetler’s Mortuary, 128 S. 8th Street, Santa Paula with a rosary to be recited at 7pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10am, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 427 North Oak Street, Santa Paula, with Father Charles Lueras, C.R.I.C. Officiating. Committal & Interment will follow at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.
