Becky Ann Venegas

Becky is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Ruben Venegas; her cherished daughter, Wendy Venegas; her beloved grandchildren, Erik, Paul, Jayden, Jenessa, Aaron, and Jazzlin; her brothers, Glen Smith and Dana Smith; and her sisters, Merrie Harris and Esther Buus. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rosemary Smith; her brothers, Grey and Michael Smith; and her grandparents.

Becky was born on March 12, 1957 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, to George and Rosemary Smith. As a toddler, she moved with her family to Ventura, California, where she was raised and later graduated from Buena High School. She began a career in retail, where she met the love of her life, Ruben. Their love story led to a magical engagement at Disneyland, and they were married on January 18, 1986. Together they built a beautiful life and welcomed their only daughter, Wendy, on November 5, 1987.

Becky will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her warm spirit, and the bright smile she shared with everyone she met. A true California girl at heart, she found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved thrifting and couldn't wait to show off her latest treasures. As a fashionista, she had a unique sense of style and wore every outfit with confidence and personality. Becky also cherished scenic drives along the Pacific Coast, where the beauty of the ocean brought her peace. Whether sharing a meal with family and friends or relaxing in her favorite comfy sweats, she found happiness in the moments spent with those she loved most.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 1pm to 9pm at Funeraria del Angel in Santa Paula, California. A Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Hank Ortega, will begin at 6pm. Floral arrangements, memorial donations, and expressions of sympathy are gratefully accepted and may be offered to the family during the service.

Burial will take place at 2pm on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4pm at Beso Café in Ventura, California, where family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate Becky's life.
