Dora T. Reyes was born on February 19, 1930 in Phoenix,
Arizona. At a young age she moved to Santa Paula, California.
As an adult she worked alongside her mother and co-owned the
La Paloma Restaurant. Later, she moved herself to Huntington
Park, California and worked at multiple jobs. Dora was an active
member in her community and Methodist church. She
volunteered her time to be of service wherever help was needed
and was resourceful in making sure families in need were given
food.
Later in life, she made her way back home to Santa Paula where
she continued to serve her community and EI Buen Pastor
Methodist Church.
Throughout her life, she was a dedicated Methodist who adored
children and made sure Sunday school was a great experience
for them. She was an avid reader of the bible and prayed for
everyone including strangers alike. She was a beacon guided by
her optimistic nature that stemmed from her deeply held beliefs
and core values. She provided comfort to those around her and
was loved by many. She cherished her friendships and was a
positive force of nature with much love to offer. She
exemplified humanity and was a teacher in her own right.
To close family members she was known as Grandma Dora. To
