Elaine and Fred moved to Ventura from San Gabriel, California, in 1965 to start Fred's business, Ventura Hydraulic & Machine Works, Inc., which their two oldest daughters still own and run. Elaine was an amazing woman who managed to juggle everything. She helped her husband start a successful business in Ventura, doing the accounting and payroll in the early years. At the same time, she worked full-time as a registered nurse, for over 30 years. She and Fred later built a home in Santa Paula where they grew avocados, oranges, and lemons on close to 30 acres. She worked hard all of her life. She was a loving and attentive mother to her four daughters and grandson, Gus. Her family was the most important thing in her life. We love her immensely and will miss her, but there is no doubt in our minds that she is still with us to help guide us.
Elaine's faith in God guided her all her life. She and Fred were parishoners at Our Lady of the Assumption Church for over 20 years, then at Scared Heart Church when their grandsons, Jake, Gus and Barrett attended elementary school there, then finally at St. Sebastian Church in Santa Paula.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred H. Malzacher, who passed away on October 7, 2018.
She is survived by: her daugher Karoline and son-in-law Dennis Connelly, II, her daugher Katherine and son-in-law Woody Maxwell, her daugher Fredricka and son-in-law Guenter Trenkle; her daugher Kristine Malzacher; her eight grandchildren: Jake Connelly, Augustus Malzacher, Barrett Connelly, Maximillian Trenkle, Severin Trenkle, Lewis Trenkle, Anneliese Maxwell, Beck Maxwell and her two great grandchildren, Oliver Connelly and Ellie Malzacher.
Rosary and funeral will be said by Father Pasquale Vuoso at St. Sebastian Church, Santa Paula, CA at 10:00 am and 10:30 am respectively on Saturday, February 26, 2022. There will be a graveside service at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula, Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life immediately to follow.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Funeraria Del Angel at 128 S. 8th Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060, 805-525-5595.
