Elisa Valles Alarcon

December 6, 1930July 25, 2013

Elisa Valles Alarcon entered Heaven’s gates on July 25, 2013. She was born in San Francisco De Oro, Mexico on December 6, 1930.

She was a very kind and loving person with a gentle soul and had a generous heart, and was giving to others. She made us laugh with her stories and taught us to be respectful towards other people. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, gardening, and astronomy. She was an avid reader of the newspaper, biographies, mysteries and even books about ancient civilization. She was clever in her own writing, and was good with numbers. She loved cooking for the family. On the weekends she loved going to garage sales and look for antiques.

Mom had an unwavering faith in God. She was a Guadalupana at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She was involved with the church and assisted with numerous fundraising events. She also volunteered for the Santa Paula Library as a member of the Friends of the Library.

Elisa was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Raymond Alarcon. She is survived by her son Oscar Alarcon and wife Norma, daughter Diana Alarcon, step children Raymond Alarcon Jr, Barbara Mendoza, Rosemary Tumaimate, and grandchildren. Sisters Gracelia Diaz and Mary Valles and husband Ricardo, and nieces and nephews. Diana lovingly cared for her mother the last 10 years of her life. The family gives Diana and Evangelina Moreno who cared for her their greatest gratitude.

Family and friends are invited to join her family on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 for the viewing at 4:00 – 7:00 PM, with the rosary commencing at 7- 9p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Stetler Mortuary 128 S.8th Street Santa Paula Ca 93060.

Mom, I can't believe it has been four weeks since your passing. Everything happened so fast. I miss your laughter, your smile, your ay cafe y pan? Your telling at me because I am scolding the dogs. I miss are talks, though at times, they were unusal. I miss taking care of you, kissing you, holding your hand. I miss your stories, your flour/corn tortillas. All in all mom I MISS YOU! I am working on being strong, I know you want me to, but it is so hard not having you around. I love you and will always be happy, that I was able to care for you until the end. "Momma...I Love you!"..."Goood Night until we meet again.

Once upon a time an angel held my hand,She wiped away my tears and helped me understand.
Our time on earth is brief, there's lessons to be learned,
Each precious day God gives us another page is turned.
Every chapter full of memories, times of joy and tears,
Triumphs and defeats, through every passing year.
She loved us unconditional, always by our side,When no one else would listen, in her we could confide.
With gentle words of wisdom she led us on our way,Down the paths of righteousness if ever we did stray.
She saw the light in everyone and gave with no regrets, Always from her heart let's us not forget.
Angels come in many forms, for me it is my mother may she rest in peace.
Love you Oscar..
