Jorge came to the United States at the age of 13 and began working in restaurants during his teenage years. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly in the restaurant industry, always striving to ensure the best possible experience for both his customers and his staff. His strong work ethic, warmth, and leadership left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Throughout his life, he called many places home, including Puerto Vallarta and North Hollywood, and attended Walter Reed Junior High. His journey was defined by hard work, perseverance, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys.
In 1991, Jorge welcomed his first son, George Luevano, followed by his second son, Jefferson Luevano, in 1995. He was later blessed with a beloved granddaughter, Genesis Luevano, who brought him endless joy. In 2007, Jorge met his life partner, Diane, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years. Together, they built a life in Ventura County filled with love, laughter, and companionship.
Jorge is survived by his sons, George and Jefferson Luevano; his partner, Diane; stepdaughter, Danielle Jimenez; granddaughter, Genesis Luevano; his loyal dog, Bailey; and siblings, Miguel, Luis, Rita, and Lupe “Guera”; and the mother of his children, Marcia Machado. As a young man, Jorge served in the California Conservation Corps in Santa Clara, where he developed a strong sense of teamwork and service that carried throughout his life.
Those who knew Jorge will remember him as a hard-working, humorous, kind-hearted, and patient man, someone who always put others before himself and lived each day with compassion and gratitude.
The Luevano family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered love and support during this difficult time.
Jorge often lived by one of his favorite quotes: “If it’s to be, it’s up to me.” – William H. Johnsen
