On the morning of October 16th, 2017 Jorge Espinoza Garcia was called home to be with the Lord after battling a long term illness. His devotion to his family, passion of music and firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Jorge was born to the late Eluterio Garcia Reinoso and Guadalupe Cortez de Garcia in Bellas Fuentes, Michoacán. When he was 13 years old he and his family made the move to the small city of Santa Paula in which became his permanent residence. Growing up, Jorge was very fond of music and eventually became a self-taught master of the accordion and keyboards. His hobby quickly turned into a passion playing with his brothers & other musicians from all around the County. He graduated from Santa Paula High School and had a variety of jobs but still carried on with his musical career. Not only was he a fast learner of the keys, he also played all by ear. He would listen to a song or play along with someone else and master it, note for note. He was a loving man with such humor and compassion. He always would walk into a room and bring it to life with all of his great stories and jokes. His name with always be remembered and his music will live on in our hearts.
Jorge is survived by his wife Otilia Garcia. His daughters’ Kristal, Jordan and Jasmine Garcia. His brothers, Manuel Garcia, Heriberto Garcia, Octavio Garcia and Victor Garcia. His sisters Georgina Rojas, Maria Luz Chavez, Guadalupe Garcia, Sally Garcia. As well as all of his Nieces and Nephews.
Services for Jorge Garcia are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary.
