Larry Pulido, age 87, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2020. Larry was born and raised in Fillmore, California. Where he met his wife Joann Pulido. They were married for 62 years and moved to Santa Paula, California, where they created a beautiful family consisting of 2 Children, 6 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
Soon after graduating from Fillmore High School he enrolled in College courses and declared a major in Architectural Drawing. Thereafter he joined the U.S Air Force where he served for four years. He then dedicated the next 36 years of his life in the civil service sector of the U.S. Navy where he quickly moved through the ranks as an Aerospace Engineering Technician and was Honorably Discharged as a Staff Sergeant culminating in 40 plus years of service.
After retirement from the public sector, he went on to serve as a Field Engineer for DYNCORP Aerospace Technology in the Evaluation Services division, during this time he served as a Launch Control Officer and acted as a consultant for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joann, his brother Jose Pulido and sister Mary Lou Garnica. His Children, Yoli Schouten (Michael W. Schouten) and son Tony Pulido (Denise Pulido). His Grandchildren: Jason Schouten, Jennifer Chavez, Jessica Maynard, Christine Pulido, Courtney Pulido and Chase Pulido. His Great-Grandchildren, Michael A. Schouten, Josiah Chavez, Lana Schouten, Joshua Chavez, Elias Chavez, Malia Maynard, Malise Maynard, Caleb Schouten, Hannah Schouten and Malani Maynard.
