Lilly Munoz Lopez was born in Chile, Mexico on the 30th of September, 1919 to Juan and Guadalupe Araiza Munoz. As a little girl, Lilly loved working in her family store, Munoz Market. She attended school in Santa Paula. At a young age, she met the love of her life, Joe Lopez. They married and had three beautiful children: Johnny, Alice, and Richard. Lilly enjoyed playing the piano and cooking for family and friends. Lilly was an animal activist. She fed and cared for many animals through the years which included an injured eagle and numerous stray cats and dogs. Lilly was a member of YLI and Golden Girls. In 1950, she earned the title of Queen for a Day. Lilly enjoyed the company of her many grandchildren. Lilly will be greeted in Heaven by her father, Juan Munoz; mother, Guadalupe Munoz; brothers, Fernando, Armando, and Claudio Araiza Munoz; husband, Joe Lopez, Jr.; son, Johnny Lopez; nephew, Alexander Rodriguez; son-in-law, Kenneth Herron, Sr.; daughters-in-law, Norma Lopez and Barbara Lopez; brothers-in-law, Tony Garcia and Oscar Rodriguez; grandchildren, Richard Lopez, Gregory Herron, and Paul Vera, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Lopez and Johnny Jacob Lopez.
Survived by sisters, Lupe Araiza Garcia and Frances Araiza Rodriguez; son, Richard Munoz Lopez; daughter, Alice Lopez Herron; grandchildren, Johnny Lopez, Jerome Lopez, Shawn Lopez, Gino Lopez, Ferrel Lopez, Kenneth Herron, Jr., Annette Herron Vera, Scott Herron, Sr., Kimberly Herron Castillo, Brian Herron, Sr., Lillian Herron, Jeremy Herron Sr., Tawnya Lopez Kohlmier, Joey Lopez, and numerous great-grandchildren plus great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lilly will be deeply missed by all she touched.
