Michele Anastasia Ramirez

In the early morning hours of Feb 16, 2020 Michele Ramirez slipped peacefully from this earth into the arms of her love Tom. He was waiting, along with their other family and friends at the gates of Heaven.

Michele was born August 4, 1947 in Chicago, Ill and moved to Ojai, Ca with her family when she was 5. Michele was a lifelong resident of Ventura County but kept close to her family back east. Michele attended Academy of St. Catherine by the Sea and later studied English and journalism at San Diego State University. Michele worked for 10 years as a social worker. She also became very involved in the Alcoholic Anonymous program. As someone who had a mental illness, she volunteered with N.A.M.I to help others who were mentally ill and was active in educating those who were unfamiliar with it.

Michele was with her love and soulmate Tom for 38 years. She always felt very blessed for the life she had and that she was able to have her miracle baby, Victoria. Michele had a huge heart and was very caring, kind, loving and intelligent. She had a quiet wit about her, she wasn't as outgoing as her husband but always had a big smile and hug for you. Her strength in dealing with stage 4 breast cancer was admirable and inspiring to her friends and family. Her faith in God and the support of those who loved her drove her to fight.

Michele will be greatly missed by her daughter Victoria, future Son-in-law Aaron and many amazing friends and relatives. Memorial services will be held March 12th from 4-8pm rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel
