Richard Vega

Richard Vega, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather was called to be with the lord on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the age of 70. Richard was born April 17th, 1946 to Cruz and Joaquin Vega and was a life-long resident of Santa Paula. He was a devoted husband to his wife Louise Vega of 52 years, a great father to his children Richard Vega Jr. and daughter Michelle Vega, and a loving Grandfather and Great Grandfather to his Grandchildren Eddie Vega, Krystal Molina, Amanda Vega, Joseph Moraga, Michael Moraga, Daniel Moraga, Richard Rene Vega, Cece Vega, Manuel Nava, Maliha Moraga, Anthony Rodriguez, and Joseph Moraga III. He was also a great brother to Ralph Gomez Sr, Henry Gomez, Felix Vega (Wife Belia), and Sister Gloria Hinojosa. Richard loved his family and took a whole lot of pride in setting the right example, paving the way for a family strong in faith, with the courage to take chances and excel in all aspects of life. Richard is the true definition of what it means to be a man. Loving his wife unconditionally, He really loved to see his grandchildren shine in their sports, and nothing made him more proud He loved watching boxing and football His Friday movie dates with his lovely wife Louise were something that they both looked forward to. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Albert Vega, and Joaquin Vega Jr, and his sister Connie Hernandez & brother in law Manuel Hinojosa.Visitations will be held from 4pm-6pm & Funeral Services at 7pm at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary.

Burial services will be held at a later date, to be announced.
