Obituary of Sheryl Rollins Ramaila
IN THE CARE OF

Funeraria del Angel Santa Paula

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sheryl Lynn “Sherry” Rollins Ramaila of Thousand Oaks, CA, who went home to be with our Lord Jesus and her heavenly family on March 10th, 2026 while surrounded by undying love. She was a devoted wife, cherished mother, adored grandmother, beloved sister, cousin and auntie, and a true friend. Sherry’s life was a tapestry woven with love, creativity and joy, touching the lives of all who knew her.

A Life of Love and Kindness - Deeply committed to her beloved husband and their friendship, she embodied the essence of true partnership, uplifting him through both joyful times and challenges. Her gentle spirit and warm smile were the light and joy of their lives.

As a dedicated mother and grandmother, Sherry’s love knew no bounds. She instilled values of kindness and creativity in her children and grandchildren, encouraging them to seek the Love of God and to explore their passions.

Her role as a sister, cousin and auntie was equally vital. She was a source of support, laughter, and joy for a family that was so precious to her.

Sherry was a radiant friend, a dedicated volunteer, and a beloved member of her community. She touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.

A Joyful Spirit - Born on December 12th, 1955 in San Bernardino, CA to Richard and Carol Rollins, Sherry embraced life with a curious and open heart. Strong, courageous and steadfast, she dedicated herself to her family, nurturing her husband, children and grandchildren with unconditional love. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, filled with laughter, joy and countless memories made during the family gatherings she so passionately organized.

Sherry was a masterfully talented seamstress and passionate quilter. Her fabric creations—ranging from intricately detailed quilts and wall hangings to fantastically designed steampunk and period costumes—displayed her artistry and unique vision. She found joy in sharing her skills with others, teaching and inspiring her loved ones to explore their own creative journeys and stitching stories, memories and love into every timeless work of art she shared.

In addition to her incredible creativity, Sherry was a captivating hula dancer, telling beautiful stories of life and love, and celebrating the spirit of Aloha and heritage of Ohana. Her passion for dance brought her joy and connected her with a vibrant community; creating an unbreakable sisterhood with her halau and fostering friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Sherry was also an avid reader who believed in the power of knowledge and she shared that passion with her children and grandchildren. Literature cultivated her imagination, fueled her desire to learn and grow continuously, and provided precious moments with her children and grandchildren though all the years of cuddling in her lap or sitting at her feet while she read aloud, nurturing their dreams and encouraging them to thrive.

Cherished Memories - Sherry is survived by her loving husband George Ramaila, her devoted children Amy (Danny) Hafer, Eric (Paloma) Kennison, Ardriel (Christopher) Galvan, Dain (Erin) Kennison, Kim and Eric Ramaila; and her cherished grandchildren Judah, Tanya, Aidan, Andre, Micah, Jeremiah, Emma, Juniper, Nathaniel, Grace, Molly and Ian who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews whom she deeply adored, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who were blessed by her warmth and generosity and whom she touched with her kindness, creativity, and open heart.

We rest in Scripture's sure hope that Sherry was welcomed into the Lord's presence with heavenly celebration (Luke 15:10). Through her faithful service, many found salvation in Jesus, declaring Him Lord and receiving grace (Ephesians 2:8-9; Luke 23:43). She stands a princess in the Lord's army, crowned victorious (1 Thessalonians 2:19; James 1:12; Revelation 2:10), an overcomer inheriting all through Christ (Revelation 3:21; 21:7).

Sherry leaves behind a tapestry of love — in quilts that will warm future generations, in costumes that sparked wonder, in dances that carried tradition, and in hearts forever changed by her kindness. Her legacy endures not only in the beauty she shared here on earth, but in eternal lives transformed and the glory she now shares with our Savior. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout her life and to all who shared in the joy and love she gave so freely. May God bless you, always.
