Vernon lived a life defined by service, kindness, and faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying the values of honor, dedication, and integrity with him throughout his life. Following his military service, he continued to give back to others through his unwavering commitment to his church, where he faithfully served as a member of RCCH Church, and by volunteering at local food banks to help those in need.
Family was the center of Vernon's life. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a cherished son, brother-in-law, uncle, and a loyal friend to many. His generosity, gentle spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Outside of his service to others, Vernon had a lifelong passion for bowling. His love for the sport led him to become a bowling instructor, where he found great joy in teaching and encouraging bowlers of all skill levels. Whether on the lanes, in his church, or serving his community, Vernon brought enthusiasm, patience, and a warm smile that will be remembered by all.
Vernon's legacy of faith, service, compassion, and love will continue to live on through his family, friends, church community, and all whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude.
Service details will be announced when they become available.
